Officers responded to report of a fight and a 19-year-old female with a gunshot at an area hospital.

When officers arrived on the scene, they observed a man, later identified as Alvarez-Marquez, causing a disturbance and fighting with hospital security.

After an investigation by the Crime Detectives Unit, they determined that Alvarez-Marquez allegedly shot the victim in the abdomen with a handgun, that caused her serious bodily harm the complaint mentions.
