Luzerne County is auctioning 16 unused vehicles Friday.

Starting bids are set at the estimated fair market values, with all but two ranging from $300 to $900.

The exceptions are two orange GMC dump trucks with minimum bids of $2,000 each. The 1991 truck has 161,624 miles, and the 1992 model has 134,511.

The silent auction sale will be held from 10 a.m. to around noon at the county record storage facility, 85 Young St., Hanover Township. The building is located across from the county 911 center in the Hanover Industrial Park.

To place a bid, prospective buyers can write their name and dollar amount on a sheet if they are willing to pay more than the amount listed in the most recent sheet entry.

Full payment must be presented the day of the auction through cash or a check or money order issued to Luzerne County. Credit card payments won’t be accepted, and all sales are final.

Vehicles may be picked up after payment and title transfer, and bidders must agree to assume all risks and hazards related to their purchases.

Listed at the lowest $300 starting bid is a blue 1994 Chevrolet van with 61,653 miles.

Four Ford Crown Victorias are up for grabs at $400 starting bids. Their model years, color and mileage: 2002, blue, 101,152; 2006, blue, 122,456; 2005, white, 135,456; and 2005, white, 136,997.

Three 2006 Chevrolet vehicles start at $600 each — a cream Malibu, 64,164, and two gray Impalas with 77,534 and 76,096 miles.

The other vehicles at various starting bids along with their mileage:
