NEPA skating star Adam Rippon to appear at Mohegan Sun Pocono

PLAINS TWP. — Adam Rippon, the Lackawanna County native and olympic skating bronze medalist, will dance at Mohegan Sun Pocono next month.

Rippon will appear with his “Dancing With the Stars: Athletes ” TV competition partner, Jenna Johnson, on Sept. 5 in the casino’s Keystone Grand Ballroom. The pair won the competition earlier this year.

Participation will be on a first-come, first-served basis, officials said.

The dance performance and a live Q&A session will begin at 7 p.m.

A meet-and-greet and free autographing event will follow at 7:30 p.m. Admission for that will be by wristband only, with a limited number of wristbands distributed at the Keystone Grand Ballroom starting at 5 p.m.

An in-house photographer will be taking photos, and there will be no personal photos allowed, including cell phone photos.

There also will be a limit of one autographed headshot or one personal item per person.
