LEHMAN TWP. — Kasie Weidner will be there. So will Tim Montana and Tegan Marie.
Will you be at this 56th Luzerne County Fair?
The annual celebration of agriculture, amusement rides and entertainment kicks off its five-day run at 4 p.m. this Wednesday, Sept. 5, at the fairgrounds off Route 118.
Weidner, the eldest daughter of Earl and Cheryl Weidner of Lake Township, is this year’s Fair Queen. She is entering the 11th grade at Muhlenburg Christian Academy in Hunlock Creek.
“So what is your dream? Is it to win a ribbon, see a show, ride a ride? The Luzerne County Fair has all of that and more,” said Weidner, who enjoys “watching the shows, smelling and eating the delicious food and of course feeding the animals at the petting zoo.”
Among those shows will be performances by singer/songwriter Tim Montana, rising country star Tegan Marie and many more live acts.
You can read more about this year’s events and attractions in our Guide to the Luzerne County Fair, contained inside Sunday’s newspaper.
