WILKES-BARRE — Several local bars were recently cited by the State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement:

• The Omnia Bar & Grill and Ali Baba Lounge, 219-225 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, allowed patrons “to possess and/or remove alcoholic beverages” after 2:30 a.m., a press release states. The alleged violation occurred March 25.

• Canteen Juice Park Inc., 181 Market St., Kingston, was cited for selling or furnishing alcohol to a minor, according to authorities. The alleged violation occurred July 19.

The charges will be brought before an administrative law judge, who can impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. Penalties can also include suspending or revoking an establishment’s liquor license and mandating more training.
