HANOVER TWP. — A Hanover Township man was busted Wednesday after allegedly trafficking crack cocaine.

Authorities said they arrested Ruben Luis Sostre, 36, of Mark Drive, Marion Terrace Apartments, during a traffic stop in Ashley where they recovered $1,700 in cash.

Sostre was targeted by township police and the Luzerne County Drug Task Force after his alleged involvement in drug dealing.

A search warrant was served at Sostre’s apartment where a .38-caliber pistol, ammunition, a digital scale, a scanner and plastic bags used to package narcotics were found, authorities said.

Sostre was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township on six counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was jailed for lack of $75,000 bail.
