PLAINS TWP. — Lt. Col. Oliver North will be a special guest for a Republican campaign rally this Sunday at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Convention Center.

Billed as “Thunder and Lightning’s Trump Fest,” the event will feature U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate and U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, Lieutenant Governor nominee Jeff Bartos, and congressional candidates Dan Meuser and John Chrin.

Marino and Barletta have been given the nicknames Thunder and Lightning for their support of President Donald Trump during campaign rallies across the Commonwealth.

“We joined together and helped deliver Pennsylvania for President Trump. Now it is Lou’s turn,” Marino said. “I am very proud to rally in support of my colleague and dear friend Lou Barletta because I know he will be an excellent U.S. senator who will fight to drain the swamp, build the wall and will support President Trump.”

North, a retired Marine, is a political commentator and author, who specializes in military history.

The rally also will feature speakers and musical performances by the Mace & Dickson Band and Molly Hatchet.

Doors will open at 4 p.m., with musical performances starting at 4:15.
