WILKES-BARRE — Pennsylvania American Water has issued a precautionary boil advisory for customers in part of the city due to a break in an 8-inch main along Coal Street.

Repairs are expected to be completed by midnight, and approximately 60 customers are affected, according to a press release.

The boil advisory applies to residents on the following streets:

• Spring Street

• North Sherman Street

• Mundy Street

• Stevens Road

The utility says it will alert residents when they no longer need to boil their water. You can also check for updates at www.pennsylvaniaamwater.com under the “Alerts Notification” section.
