10:29 p.m.: Sen. Bob Casey recently finished his acceptance speech in Scranton, saying “I will continue to work every day to earn (Pennsylvania’s) trust.”

10:21 p.m.: U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright also is claiming victory tonight. Latest tallies show him with 101,273 votes to 70,906 for challenger John Chrin.

10:14 p.m.: The late Sid Michaels Kavulich captured 14,519 votes in an unopposed contest for his state House seat in Lackawanna County.

10:12 p.m.: NBC reporting that U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has defeated Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke in Texas.

10:09 p.m.: NBC is saying that Republicans will hold onto the Senate.

10:08 p.m. Updated Pashinski vs. Henry numbers are 8,057 to 6,078.

10:06 p.m.: As of now, unofficial numbers are 70,205 Meuser to 45,877 Wolf.

10:02 p.m.: Dan Meuser also claiming victory.

9:58 p.m.: Sue Henry has conceded defeat to Eddie Pashinski. Also, Lou Barletta is taking the stage in Hazleton.

9:54: Gov. Tom Wolf is claiming victory tonight.

9:47 p.m.: State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski has 6,392 votes to 4,763 for challenger Sue Henry.

9:45 p.m.: Republican House candidate Dan Meuser has 52,407 votes to 35,732 for Democrat Denny Wolff.

9:45 p.m.: Looking at the House, results are showing Democratic Rep. Matt Cartwright with 56,513 votes to 35,416 for challenger John Chrin. He appears to be easily carrying Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.

9:18 p.m.: The AP a few minutes ago called the race for Casey.

9:14 p.m.: Statewide results show Casey pulling away over Barletta — 66% to 32% with 9% of precincts reported. In Luzerne County, with 11.67% reporting, Casey leads 54% to 44%.

9:04 p.m: As Luzerne County results roll in, Pashinski takes the lead over Henry — 3,046 votes to 1,981 with 11.67% reporting.

9:01 p.m.: AP report — A political year dominated by women faces its electoral test.

8:52 p.m: Based on early Luzerne County results, challenger Sue Has a 109-75 vote lead over incumbent state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski.

8:45 p.m.: Still only 1 percent of precincts reporting statewide.

8:35 p.m.: The drumbeat of sources calling the race for Casey continues, even though just one district is reporting statewide, according to the state’s website. Here’s what PoliticsPA is saying.
