WILKES-BARRE —Ernie Garcia, founder and CEO of Carvana, said he is confident Northeastern Pennsylvania will embrace “the new way to buy a car.”

Carvana, a leading e-commerce platform for buying used cars, recently launched in the region and offers as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery.

Amy O’Hara, media contact for Carvana, said in as little as 10 minutes, Northeastern Pennsylvania customers can shop more than 10,000 vehicles on Carvana.com, finance a purchase, and then sell their current vehicle to the company.

“As we’ve continued to grow our presence in Pennsylvania, we’re looking forward to now providing as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery to anywhere in Northeastern Pennsylvania,” Garcia said.

With the new launch, the company has now grown its market count in Pennsylvania to seven.

O’Hara said Carvana customers save valuable time and money by shopping online, whether from the comfort of home or on the go via their mobile device. She said visitors to Carvana.com can browse high-definition, 360-degree photos and make purchases with the confidence that comes with a seven-day return policy for every vehicle.

That means you have seven days to drive it in real life.

“By putting customers in control of the purchase process, they have the time to ensure the vehicle fits their life,” O’Hara said.

According to information supplied by the company, all Carvana vehicles are “Carvana Certified,” have undergone a rigorous 150-point inspection, have no frame damage and have never been in a reported accident. Features, imperfections and updated information about open safety recalls are listed on every car’s vehicle description page.

Carvana first launched as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery in Pennsylvania in October 2016. In just two years, its has grown to seven markets and one Car Vending Machine in the state. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton joins Pittsburgh, Allentown, Harrisburg, Lancaster, York-Hanover and Philadelphia. It is the 82nd Carvana market nationwide.

Founded in 2012 and based in Phoenix, Carvana’s (NYSE: CVNA) mission is to change the way people buy cars by removing the traditional dealership infrastructure and replacing it with technology and exceptional customer service, a press release says.
