DORRANCE TWP. — Township supervisors gave final approval this week to a 2019 balanced budget of $833,488 with no new taxes.

Real estate millage will remain at .75 mills.

A mill is $1 in tax for every $1,000 of assessed property value.

Secretary-treasurer Patricia Davis said that real estate taxes are projected to produce $130,000 in revenue;, state liquid fuels reimbursement will amount to $136,388; and the biggest revenue producer is a .5 percent earned income tax that generates $242,000.

Beside the budget, supervisors acted to approve:

• The reappointment of William Brior as sewage enforcement officer.

• The online bids of $1,425 for a waste oil burner; $1,934 for a Flink hopper spreader; $130 for a tailgate spreader; and $10 for a fuel storage tank.

• The board also set Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 6:30 p.m. as the date for the township’s reorganizational meeting.
