HANOVER TWP. — A night club in the township was the scene of trouble for the third time since October.

All three incidents at the Brooklyn’s Sports Bar & Lounge occurred long after Pennsylvania liquor licensees are required to be closed.

Two males were shot at a club on the Sans Souci Parkway on Sunday morning, township police said.

The incident took place at 4:23 a.m. Bars are required to stop serving alcohol at 2 a.m. and have all patrons out of the establishment by 2:30 a.m.

The victims, who have not been identified, were “struck by gunfire” and taken to an area hospital, police said. Their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

Further information was not immediately available.

Township police, as well as officers from Wilkes-Barre City and Township, Ashley and Nanticoke were among responders to the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hanover Township Police at 570-825-1254.

This morning’s shootings follow other incidents at the establishment.

In October, a 31-year-old man was shot in the thigh in another early morning incident. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

The following month police raided the establishment, seizing drugs and guns and filing charges against several employees. State police at that time said officers found the club selling alcohol at prohibited hours and allowing the open use of controlled substances.

The bar’s Facebook page says it held its grand opening last December and features reggae, hip-hop, R&B, and Latin nights.
