HAZLETON — City police arrested four men and seized more than 250 packets of heroin and fentanyl during a traffic stop on South Church Street on Saturday, according to a police report.

One of the men arrested is on state parole.

According to the report:

Police stopped a vehicle upon a request by narcotics detectives.

Occupants of the vehicle, Kyle Carter, 27, of Tamaqua, Nevin Sterling, 23, of New Ringgold, Justin Mcardle, 31, of Tamaqua, and Anthony Napolitano, 33, of Lansford, were arrested after heroin and fentanyl packets were allegedly found.

Police allege Carter identified himself using a false name. A records check revealed Carter is wanted by authorities in Bucks and Carbon counties, police said.

Napolitano is on parole with the State Department of Corrections. He was jailed at the Carbon County Correctional Facility.

Police said the four men face drug possession and paraphernalia charges. Carter is further charged with false identification to authorities.
