PLAINS TWP. — The finalists for the 2019 NEPA Sings competition were announced by CASA of Luzenre County on Tuesday.

The finalists are Jovon Barnes, 21, of Jefferson Township; Chris Bohinski, 28, of Wilkes-Barre; Diana Brown, 19, of Covington Township; Bryttani Dawson, 27, of Dallas; Hannah Draus, 15, of White Haven; Talia Johnson, 21, of Nazareth; Marccia Kanoc, 28, of Nanticoke; Haley Lyle, 20, of Mountain Top; Marina Rinkunas, 16, of Clarks Summit; Hailey Rivera, 17, of Wilkes-Barre; John Toussaint, of 17, Dallas; and Cody Wiley, 29, of Cressona.

The finals will be held on April 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Kirby Center for the Creative Arts at Wyoming Seminary.

A panel of five local judges selected the 12 finalists out of 39 musicians who auditioned for April’s event.

Tickets will be available soon, according to a press release from CASA executive director John Aciukewicz.

People who plan on attending the event are encouraged to follow CASA of Luzerne County on Facebook for information about the show and tickets sales.

All proceeds from the show will benefit the nonprofit organization that provides qualified and compassionate volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in Luzerne County.
