WILKES-BARRE — State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, will host a House Democratic Policy Committee public hearing on affordable health care on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Wilkes University’s Henry Student Center, Miller Room, Second Floor, 84 W. South St.

The media and public are invited.

Pashinski requested the meeting to discuss what is being done and still can be done to make health care affordable in Pennsylvania. He will be joined by state legislators from across the state, including Policy Committee Chairman Mike Sturla, D-Lancaster.

The current agenda:

10 a.m. — Welcome and opening remarks

10:10 a.m. — Official from the Pennsylvania Department of Health

10:40 a.m. — Dr. Anthony Aquilina, regional president, Geisinger Northeast Region

11:10 a.m. — Patrick Keenan, policy director, Pennsylvania Health Access Network
