Rev. Joseph Adonizio, the evening’s principal speaker, spoke on the union of St. Rocco’s Parish and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish to create St. Joseph Marello Parish.

PITTSTON — Rev. Carlos Esquivel and the Holy Name Society of St. Joseph Marello Parish hosted the Palm Sunday Smoker on Sunday, March 29 at the parish’s Mt. Carmel Center, William Street, Pittston.

The event was held for all men and young men from the parish and surrounding area. The annual affair features a dinner and featured speaker, while allowing attendees to enjoy the company of old friends and new acquaintances.

The speaker this year was Rev. Joseph Adonizio. The toastmaster was the Luzerne County Senior Judge Joseph Augello.
