WILKES-BARRE — A Plymouth man who had been accused of tying down and raping a child repeatedly over a two-year period has entered guilty pleas to some of the counts against him.

Jermie Wolfe, 29, pleaded guilty Thursday to one felony count of corruption of minors and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault by forcible compulsion before Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough.

Eight other charges against Wolfe, including counts of rape by forcible compulsion, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and statutory sexual assault, were all withdrawn by prosecutors in pursuance of a plea deal.

Wolfe was arrested in October 2017 on allegations he raped a young girl at the Hilltop Apartments in Edwardsville.

According to police, the rapes occurred between January 2011 and January 2013, when the girl was between 8 and 10. She is now in her teens.

Police say the girl told them Wolfe would tie her down with electrical cords and stuff a sock in her mouth, raping her when her mother left the apartment to go to work or shopping.

Court records show Wolfe would tell her “she was a good girl for letting him do what he wanted to do.” He also complimented the girl, telling her she looked like Hannah Montana, records say.

Wolfe’s arrest came after the girl made abuse claims at the Luzerne County Child’s Advocacy Center in 2017. Wolfe was arrested less than two weeks after her claims.

Vough set Wolfe’s sentencing for April 23. Wolfe was remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, where he will await his sentencing.
