WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Former Notre Dame Football Coach Lou Holtz will address the King’s College 70th commencement on Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m. at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.

More than 400 students will receive either Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees at the ceremony.

Holtz led the University of Notre Dame to its most recent national collegiate football championship following the 1988 season. He is the only person in the history of college football to coach six teams to post-season bowl games.

Holtz will also receive an honorary doctorate from King’s at the ceremony. Ray Kane, a Wilkes-Barre native, World War II veteran and a member of King’s first graduating class, will also receive an honorary doctorate.
