WILKES-BARRE — Railroad Street between George Avenue and Mill Street will be closed to traffic for several days starting Monday, May 20 for work on the George Avenue streetscape project, Mayor Tony George announced.
That $857,000 project will include new curbs, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings and paving, coming on the heels of extensive utility work below the street.
Railroad Street is anticipated to reopen on Thursday, May 23.
