President Donald Trump tweeted an absurdly racist tweet telling four of our congresswomen to “go back where they came from.”

The irony of this immature and ignorant comment is that three of the women were born here in the United States.

Our local Republican representatives, U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, state Sen. Lisa Baker and state Reps. Karen Boback and Aaron Kaufer have been silent in the face of this blatant racism. I would like to know their stand on racism, and why they haven’t come forward to defend against such a divisive, racist President.

Our country is at a moral crossroads for the first time in my lifetime, and I want to know where our elected officials stand on which road they want to take us down.

Silence is compliance.
