PITTSTON — More than 50 images of child pornography were found on a cell phone belonging to David Alex Slagan on Tuesday, according to court records.

Slagan, 57, was arrested when investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant at his residence in Riverview Manor.

Investigators went to Slagan’s residence based on three tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children last month regarding 38 images of children being uploaded to Google last month.

After receiving the tips, investigators traced the images to a cell phone linked to Slagan.

When investigators served a search warrant at Slagan’s residence, he admitted he uses one particular website to view pornography but insisted all the girls are 18 years and older.

Slagan stated he has seen nude images of young girls but does not download those types of pictures.

Slagan said he would delete pictures of children but “they come back after I delete them,” the complaint says.

He described having two folders where he saves images on his phone. One folder is for family photos and the other folder is for pornography images.

An examination of Slagan’s cell phone returned in excess of 50 images of child pornography, according to the complaint.

Slagan was arraigned by District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz in Luzerne County Central Court on 50 counts of possession of child pornography, 38 counts of dissemination of sexual materials involving minors and a single count of criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $200,000 bail.
