ASHLEY — A man and woman were arrested on drug charges after police found what they believed to be heroin in the back of the suspects’ car, borough police said in a statement released Monday.

Ross K. Wally, 34, and Samantha Konopki, 30, both of Shavertown, were arrested Monday afternoon outside of Bentley’s Night Club.

According to the release, the officers were on patrol and discovered a suspicious-looking vehicle in the rear parking lot. Police said they noticed Wally staggering outside of the vehicle.

Police then noticed an empty heroin packet lying on the front seat of the car. Upon further investigation, police found a second heroin packet, as well as three syringes, two of them loaded up with suspected heroin, as well.

The suspects were brought to the Ashley Police Department to be processed and await arraignment, the release stated.
