NANTICOKE — From Sept. 3 to Oct. 31. construction will take place on the final roundabout in the South Valley Parkway Project. During construction, the intersection at Prospect Street and Middle Road will be closed with a detour posted.
The work will take place near Luzerne County Community College and Greater Nanticoke Area High School, so motorists who are going to these schools are reminded to follow the posted detour, which may differ from their GPS.
This construction project is coinciding with a second roundabout and access road that is being built by a private contractor to access the new Hanover 9 Industrial Park. The Hanover 9 closure is on The South Valley Parkway, between Middle Road and SR 29. Both projects are anticipated to be completed by Oct. 31.
