A longtime Kunkle firefighter who died last week from injuries sustained while in the line of duty will be laid to rest on Saturday.

Ed Nulton Sr. was directing traffic at the scene of an accident on Route 309 in Monroe Township early in the morning of Sept. 21, 2018, when he was struck by a dump truck. Nulton suffered serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury,

Nulton, 63, died Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday from the Kunkle Fire Hall in Dallas. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral. Internment will be in the Dymond Section of Orcutts Grove Cemetery, Noxen Township.
