NANTICOKE — City police are investigating a rash of vandalism suspecting two people are involved targeting businesses.

A black duffel bag was found by police containing vice grips, pipe cutters and other tools.

According to police, copper tubing was cut and stolen from an exterior air-conditioning unit at Nanticoke Fitness Center on West Main Street on Oct. 7.

The next day, Oct. 8, police said copper tubing was stolen during a burglary at Pennsylvania Coin LLC Warehouse and from an exterior air-conditioning unit at Giuseppe’s Restaurant, both on North Market Street.

Police recovered the duffel bag at the warehouse.

Forensic examinations indicate at least two men were involved in the vandalism.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call Nanticoke City Police at 570-735-2200 ext. 212. All information will be kept confidential.
