Former Vice President and current Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden will visit Scranton on Wednesday to deliver an economic policy address, his campaign announced Sunday.

The venue for Wednesday’s event was still listed as “to be announced” in an email distributed by the campaign, but doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and the event will begin at 10 a.m., the email added.

Members of the public who wish to attend can RSVP online at https://www.mobilize.us/joebiden/event/143547/.

The news follows information obtained late last week that Biden will appear at the Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter Tuesday evening for what is believed to be a private, invitation-only event.

Biden’s swing through Northeastern Pennsylvania will follow Vice President Mike Pence’s private visit to Schott North America Inc., in Duryea on Monday.
