PITTSTON — Team Positive Prescription, a project group of the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Core Program, will host a fundraiser “Flashback for the Future” from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 in the gymnasium of the former Seton Catholic High School located on William Street in Pittston. The event will feature entertainment by the band Six Drink Minimum and will be like a flashback to the days of dances in a high school gym.

All proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit the work Team Positive Prescription has taken on to renovate and organize the toy and book closet of the Care and Concern Free Health Clinic in Pittston, which is housed in the former Seton Catholic High School.

The cost of the event is $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Dinner will be sponsored by LaFratte’s Catering in Pittston, refreshments and some adult beverages are covered in the ticket price. Those attending the event are asked to bring a donation for the clinic’s toy and book closet with them. Donations of new or gently used toys and books or brand new school supplies are much needed. For event sponsor information, to purchase advance tickets or make a donation, email teampositiveprescription@gmail.com, or contact Jennifer at 570-814-3111.

The members of Team Positive Prescription are Mary Azarweicz, Geisinger Health System; Karen Banks Fawcett, American Asphalt Paving Co.; Christopher Caleb, Benco Dental Supply Co.; Nina Cecelia Dei Tos, United Way of Wyoming Valley; Brenda McGinley, Consultant; David Pall, Step-by-Step Inc., Christina Falvello, Geisinger Health System; and Atty.
