LAUREL RUN — Clearbrook Treatment Centers and Keystone Mission will hold a clothing drive for the homeless on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The Holiday Warm-Up and Drop-Off event will run from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the dining room of Clearbrook Treatment Center at 1100 E. Northampton St. Donations of new or gently used blankets, hand warmers, adult gloves, coats and scarves will be accepted. The drive is open to the public and anyone attending will receive a gift bag, a raffle ticket to win prizes, hot cocoa, cookies and more.

For 45 years Clearbrook Treatment Centers, part of the Banyan Family Network, has been helping people throughout the tristate area treat their drug and alcohol addictions. Since it started 12 years ago Keystone Mission has helped to connect the homeless to resources in the community and provide those goods that are needed to help transform their lives.

The partnership will not only help the homeless population of Northeastern Pennsylvania, but also will make the area a better place to live and change lives for the better, according to Clearbrook and Keystone Mission.

“We are excited to grow with Keystone Mission and transform lives in Northeastern Pennsylvania,” said Kingsley Greis of Banyan Treatment Center.

Keystone Mission’s CEO Justin Behrens added the organization helps the homeless with basic necessities and clothing.

“We see each day how they lose relationships and replace them with drugs. This epidemic has hurt so many lives. Keystone Mission wants to bring the community together to help end homelessness and the drug epidemic and is happy to have a wonderful partner like Clearbrook be part of our family here,” Behrens said.
