WEST PITTSTON — A second man in as many days was arrested by the state Office of Attorney General on allegations he solicited sex from a fictitious teen.

Ray Vern Crenshaw II, 27, of 308 N. Main St., Wilkes-barre, was arraigned Friday by District Judge Joseph Carmody in West Pittston on charges of unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and criminal use of communication facility. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.

According to the criminal complaint:

A state agent posing as a 14-year-old boy was monitoring an online account and responded to communications from Crenshaw on Wednesday.

Crenshaw during the course of online conversations offered to perform oral sex and sent a picture of two men engaged in a sex act, the complaint says.

Crenshaw asked the fictitious teen if they could meet and was given an address.

The complaint says Crenshaw showed up at about 8:35 p.m. Wednesday at a location in Plains Township.

Crenshaw allegedly admitted he began chatting with a 14-year-old boy on a social media app and the conversation turned sexual. He agreed to meet the teen boy and if they got along, he would have tried to have oral sex with the teen, the complaint says.

Crenshaw is the second man arrested this week by state agents on allegations of soliciting sex while on social media with reported teenagers.

Chance Joshua Alba, 18, of 640 Westmoreland Ave., Kingston, was charged with soliciting a fictitious 13-year-old boy for sex on Wednesday. Alba was released from the county correctional facility after posting $100,000 bail on charges of unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and criminal use of communication facility.
