WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes University isn’t letting the shutdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic interfere with its United Nations lecture series. The final installment will be available online via Zoom this Thursday, April 30, at 4 p.m.

The lecture is by the Permanent Representative from Costa Rica to the United Nations, Ambassador Rodrigo A. Carazo, and is titled “Small Country in World Affairs.”

Carazo has also served as a consultant for international organizations both governmental and non-government, as well as for private entities. He has 48 years of experience as a businessman in commercial, industrial, tourist, agricultural and service sectors, according to a media release

His educational pedigree includes serving as a professor in Costa Rica at the University of Peace, as a board member of the public Distance University in Costa Rica, and as a university professor in the United States. His list of degrees: a law degree from the University of Costa Rica, a degree in economic and social sciences from the University of Costa Rica, and adoctorate in political science and international relations from the University of Geneva- Switzerland. He completed further studies in history and international law.
