KINGSTON TWP. — A man ended up with more than a traffic citation after he allegedly became confrontational and struggled with two township police officers on Thursday.

According to the criminal complaint:

Two officers were patrolling in the area of East Hillside Street and Carverton Road when they spotted the driver of a Ford F250 pickup truck do a burnout on West Hillside Street at about 3:30 p.m.

Police located the vehicle parked in front of 134 W. Hillside St. where they identified the driver as Mitchell David Onzik, 37, who lives at the residence.

Onzik became confrontational with the officers, the complaint says.

Police in the complaint stated Onzik began to walk toward his residence as one of the officers stood in front of him to block his path.

Onzik began to threaten the officers with physical harm and aggressively approached one officer who shoved him back, the complaint says.

Onzik allegedly shoved one of the officers and initiated a struggle resulting in the officers to stun him with a Taser.

Onzik was arraigned by District Judge James Haggerty in Kingston on charges of resisting arrest, simple assault and careless driving. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
