National Cart makes products for supermarkets, mass retail, food service and other sectors

HANOVER TOWNSHIP — A Midwestern manufacturer of material handling products, foodservice products and store fixtures will open a facility here next week.

The operation at 32 Earth Conservancy Drive will be the third U.S. location for Missouri-based National Cart.

The Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce will join National Cart officials for a ribbon-cutting celebration at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, followed by a grand opening celebration.

Founded in 1979, family-owned National Cart has corporate offices in St. Charles, Mo., as well as a location in Reno, Nev. The Hanover Township facility will bring the company’s total manufacturing and distribution space to over 460,000 square feet.

“Our expansion into Pennsylvania will give us additional manufacturing and distribution space to better serve our east coast customers,” said National Cart President and CEO Rob Unnerstall

“This expansion makes logistical sense and demonstrates our commitment to our customers and the investment to grow our business,” Unnerstall added. “The three strategically placed locations will give National Cart a better opportunity to help our customers grow their business.”

National Cart’s Paul Deutsch will lead the Hanover Township team.

The company’s customer base includes supermarkets, mass retail, home centers, food service, distribution/fulfillment, government, and industrial.
