PITTSTON TOWNSHIP — A man was arrested on Friday after a warrant being served by the Luzerne County Drug Task Force on his home turned up crack cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana.

Danny Horton, 40, of Pittston Township was taken into custody and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, according to a press release from the Luzerne County District Attorney’s office.

The task force was called in to assist the U.S. Marshals, the Scranton Police Department SID Unit and the Pennsylvania State Police Troop R Intelligence Unit in executing the arrest warrant on Friday.

Officers on scene at Horton’s residence were given consent to search the premises after detecting a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the house.

A search turned up large quantities of crack cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana, along with about $6,500 in cash.

Horton was arraigned on Friday morning in front of Magisterial District Judge Alexandra Kokura Kravitz, and was lodged at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for failure to post $100,000 in bail.

His preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 29.
