WAVERLY TWP. — The Waverly Community House (Comm), 1115 North Abington Road, will hold a backyard gardening class for gardeners of all skill levels on Saturday, April 18.

Liz Piriczky from Fuller’s Overlook Farm will teach attendees how to grow food in their own backyards. Whether it’s in pots or the ground, participants will learn how to get the most amount of food out of a small space. The class will also focus on herb and vegetable production and how to mix veggies into ornamentals.

Attendees should bring their gardening questions and prepare to get their hands dirty, as they will seed a kale plant to take home.

The class is sponsored by Fuller’s Overlook Farm and No Bull Ranch LLC. The fee is $35 and all proceeds benefit children’s programs at the Comm. To register, stop by the Comm office or call 570-586-8191, extension 2.
