PLAINS TWP. — Township police are investigating an armed robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on South River Street Tuesday night.

Police said a man armed with a knife entered the pharmacy at about 7:30 p.m. and demanded that a clerk accompany him to the pharmacy counter. The suspect told clerks to fill a bag with pain medications, police said.

Police described the suspect as a tall white man, 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches tall, thin build, and wore orange sunglasses, dark pants and dark sneakers, gray T-shirt pulled over his face and a black hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head.

No injuries were reported.

Rite Aid is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
