WILKES-BARRE — A 21-year-old man was taken to a hospital for injuries he sustained during an attempted robbery on Lockhart Street in South Wilkes-Barre late Tuesday night.

City police said the man was walking on Lockhart Street off Carey Avenue where he was approached by two men at about 11:30 p.m. The two men demanded the victim to surrender his wallet.

Police said the suspects did not get the wallet but the victim felt a jab to his neck during the attempted robbery.

Police said the victim sustained a puncture wound to his neck.
