NEWTON TWP. — Robin Medeiros, 54, is described by her friends as “always there for people,” having a “great work ethic” and “good at her job as a Realtor” with ERA One Source Realty in Clarks Summit.

She resides in Newton Township with her husband, David, and has four children and seven grandchildren.

“She’s a doll,” said friend, Dee Clark, of Ransom Township. “She would do anything for anybody. She really would.”

But now it’s others who are “doing” for her.

Diagnosed in February with lung Medeiros, she is now undergoing chemotherapy and medical expenses are piling up.

That’s why Clark and a committee of other friends and community members are “rallying” around her with a benefit, Rally For Robin, scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25 at Countryside Community Church, 14011 Orchard Drive, Clarks Summit.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. The event includes a breakfast with both eat-in and take-out options, basket raffles and a 50/50 raffle. Those wishing to donate a basket for the raffle may do so before April 23 by calling 570-586-5684.
