DALLAS — The Dallas Rotary Club, in association with the Dallas Area Fall Fair, Inc., will sponsor its Wine & Dine Festival from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds, Route 118.
The festival will feature tastings of the finest wines and specialty foods from the Back Mountain and Endless Mountains area. A variety of goods will be for sale by local craftsmen and popular area bands will supply musical entertainment all day long.
The Dallas Rotary Club is an all-volunteer service organization and will conduct this event to support its many charities such as a Christmas shopping spree for 45 less fortunate children, six book scholarships for deserving college-bound high school seniors, support of the Back Mountain Food Pantry, holiday party for 50 of our senior citizens, the Salvation Army Kettle Drive and much more.
Tickets will be $15 in advance and $25 at the door. Designated drivers will be admitted for a reduced fee of $5 and be given special identification.
Tickets may be purchased after April 15 at several local restaurants and merchants: J&J Deli, Dallas; Valentine’s Fine Jewelry, Dallas; Gerrity’s Supermarkets, Hanover, Luzerne, West Pittston and Wyoming; Hilbert’s Tractor Store, Dallas; Pierce Drugs, Kingston; Marianacci’s Restaurant, Wyoming; Amelia’s Diner, Shavertown; Gay’s True Value Hardware, Tunkhannock; Rodano’s, Wilkes-Barre.
