TUNKHANNOCK — Rep. Karen Boback (R-Lackawanna/Luzerne/Wyoming) issued a reminder about two upcoming events intended to help local senior citizens.

The first event is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16 at the Wyoming County Active Adult Center, located at 101 Dymond Terrace in Tunkhannock. The program is titled, “Bullying for Grown-ups: 101” and will be presented by the Office of the Pennsylvania Attorney General. It is intended to educate people about the types of bullying affecting seniors and what they can do to help themselves or others in that type of situation.

Boback will also host “Crime Victims’ Rights Day” in Wyoming County on Friday, April 24. The event will feature information for seniors on how to avoid falling victim to fraud and scams and will feature Acting Secretary of Aging Theresa Osborne as a guest speaker.
