WILKES-BARRE — City officers are setting up a crime scene in the 200 block of Bowman Street after neighbors heard a series of gunshots about 5:30 p.m. Saturday

Chief Joseph Coffay and at least five cruisers are on the residential street, and an ambulance was seen leaving the area.

Authorities have not yet released details on what exactly happened, but neighbors say they heard three gunshots.

After the “pop, pop, pop” sound of gunfire, they heard a vehicle speeding away.

Officers appeared to be searching the area for shell casings.
