Some minor and heavier congestion in the downtown area could add a few minutes onto the morning commute.

Affected streets include:

• Coal Street

• Wilkes-Barre / South Wilkes-Barre boulevards

• East / West Market streets

• Hazle Street

• East Northampton Street

• South Franklin Street

• North / South River streets

Elsewhere in the Wyoming Valley, free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476, while some scattered areas of minor congestion are reported on Routes 315 and 115.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is not reporting any congestion this morning, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

In Kingston, heavy congestion is reported on Wyoming Avenue and Market Street.
