PITTSTON TWP. — Agents with the state Office of Attorney General arrested Andrew B. Watkins, 37, of East Railroad Street, on Monday on charges he downloaded images of children engaged in sex acts.

Watkins was arraigned by District Judge Rick Cronauer in Wilkes-Barre on two counts each of possession of child pornography and dissemination of photos or film of children engaged in sex acts and a single count of criminal use of a communication facility. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $75,000 bail.

Three computers inside his residence allegedly contained videos and pictures of children engaged in sex acts, according to the criminal complaint.

Watkins allegedly told agents he used a file sharing program and child pornography “popped up” on his monitor, the complaint says.

Agents allege a forensic examination of one of the computers showed it was used to downloaded child pornography from 2007 to 2009.
