PHILADELPHIA — Jean Milko and Ruth Pastore, both from Pittsburgh, comprise half of the four-member “Clintonettes.” The women formed their small but effective group in 1992 to support Bill Clinton in his first run for the presidency. They have since re-organized to campaign for Hillary Clinton in 2008 and now in 2016.
“We travel all over for the Clintons,” Milko said Tuesday. “In 1992, we walked all over New York City to ask people to vote for Bill. We have done the same for Hillary because we love her.”
Milko and Pastore said they tell people about “the real Hillary” — who they say is a warm, caring person. And, Pastore said, Clinton will make a great president.
“She will get the job done,” Pastore said. “She’s a woman and women multi-task.”
Milko said the Clintonettes will do all they can to help Clinton win the White House.
