KINGSTON — Minor injuries were reported as a result of a two-vehicle crash at East Hoyt and North Goodwin streets Wednesday.

Crews responded to the crash at approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday. A Volkswagen Beetle was on its side, while another sedan had moderate damage to the front of the vehicle.

Onlookers said they did not see the crash, but commented on how loud it was. State Rep. Aaron Kaufer, R-Kingston, was also at the scene. Kaufer explained that he was on his way to a senior center when he happened upon the crash.

George Kocher, an officer with the Kingston Police Department, said the driver of the overturned vehicle was treated in an ambulance for minor injuries. He added that a man from the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with chest pain.

The driver of the overturned vehicle declined to speak with a reporter.

Kocher said the crash remains under investigation.
