DALLAS TWP. — A crash on Kunkle Road on Saturday left two people dead.
According to the Back Mountain Fire/EMS Facebook page, a call reporting a one-vehicle crash came in at about 5:30 p.m., with emergency units from Back Mountain Regional Fire/EMS, Dallas Township, Dallas Borough, Harveys Lake and Kunkle responding.
The car, a yellow Chevrolet Cavalier, was “wrapped around a tree,” according to the Facebook page.
The crash followed a period of heavy rain earlier in the day.
Luzerne County Coroner William Lisman confirmed the two fatalities but did not immediately release their names pending notification of family.
