WILKES-BARRE — Settle in for seven straight days of sunshine and cool temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

After powerful storms hit parts of Northeastern Pennsylvania particularly hard Tuesday, the remainder of the week promises to deliver sunshine — and lots of it.

Today’s high will reach 79 while the low will be around 56. It will be mostly sunny and breezy, with winds around 5 to 10 mph. The wind will become lighter overnight.

Thursday will be partly cloud with a high near 76. The low will be 55.

Expect mostly sunny days with highs in the 70s until Tuesday.

There appears to be no rain in the forecast until then, either.
