A restaurant long slated to come to the Wilkes-Barre area finally will open next month.
Texas Roadhouse, a chain steak restaurant, will be at 465 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd., joining Kohl’s and Sam’s Club in the center that houses those businesses.
The restaurant’s corporate website doesn’t list a date for the grand opening. When the eatery opens, however, the hours will be 3 to 10 p.m. weekdays and noon to 10 p.m. on weekends.
In January 2015, Texas Roadhouse announced it would open locally at the site of the former Lone Star Steakhouse, 805 Kidder St. However, issues with the site forced the Louisville, Ky.-based company to find a new Wilkes-Barre site.
The career website Indeed.com lists several job openings at the restaurant.
