FORTY FORT — The United Way of Wyoming Valley played Santa Claus to the Wyoming Valley Children’s Association and some of its students on Monday.

United Way President/CEO Bill Jones donned a stocking cap and read “Frosty the Snowman” to children in the Together We Grow preschool program.

The United Way also made sure each little one had a gift-wrapped copy of their own book to take home.

After the fun, the United Way presented WVCA with a check in the amount of $90,000 for the Together We Grow program, a unique preschool program combining quality early education and early intervention services to support typically developing children as well as children with developmental disabilities.

The funding will be used to support tuition and fees associated with physical, occupational, speech therapy and other related services.
