DALLAS TWP. — A Scranton man was arraigned Wednesday on charges he issued a check from a closed account to purchase a pressure washer, his fourth similar offense.

Township police alleged Anthony Fazio, 40, of Linden Street, wrote a check for $392.19 to purchase a pressure washer from Pro Hardware on Memorial Highway on Oct. 29. The check was issued from a closed account, according to the criminal complaint.

Fazio is facing similar charges alleging he wrote three bad checks totaling $942 to purchase a saw, a generator and a power washer at Discoli’s Home Center in West Pittston on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, and wrote a bad check for $850 to purchase a hammer-impact combo kit, a drill-impact driver kit and a saw on Oct. 23, and another bad check for $179 to purchase radio and a knife on Oct. 24 at Fastenal in Hazleton, according to the complaints.
