A Wilkes-Barre woman’s holiday trip to New York City didn’t turn out quite as she planned, according to the New York Post.

Judith Solomon, 60, says she viewing the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in December 2016 when a New York City police horse suddenly lunged forward and bit her on the left arm.

In a lawsuit, according to the Post, Solomon claims the bite left her with “permanent soreness and a permanent lump at the location of the bite.”

The horse was a 10-year-old chestnut gelding named Madison. His handler said in a 2016 interview that the horse is friendly, but “if you pester him, he’ll let you know he doesn’t like it.”

Solomon is suing Madison’s handler, the NYPD and the city for unspecified damages.
